Frequently asked questions
What is the Yarbo Core, and what comes with it?
The Yarbo Core is the base of a modular yard-care system. Yarbo’s Y40 Core package lists one Core, docking station, Y Series battery, wired charger, Data Center, installation and tool kit, and tow hitch. Task-specific modules are separate from this listed package, and certain features require the Smart Assist Module. Check your chosen bundle for its exact contents.
Can the Yarbo Y40 Core handle slopes?
Yarbo lists a maximum climbing ability of 70% (35°) for the Y40 Core. This is a Core climbing specification, not a guarantee for every attachment, task, or ground condition. Follow the applicable module’s operating limits and safety instructions.
Does it need boundary wires?
No boundary wires are needed. Yarbo lists RTK-GPS, binocular cameras, an IMU sensor, and an odometry sensor for positioning and navigation. Its Data Center acts as a local RTK base station and communicates by radio, so that positioning link does not rely on internet or cellular networks. Connectivity needs for other features should be checked separately.
How long does the battery last, and how does it recharge?
Runtime depends on the task and configuration. Yarbo advertises up to four hours of continuous operation for the Core, while the Lawn Mower Pro Module (Y Series) specifications list 120 minutes of mowing per charge. The Core figure should not be read as four hours of mowing. Actual runtime varies with operating conditions. The Y40 Core supports automatic wireless recharging, with a listed charging time of 90 minutes from 20% to 80%.
What should I check before setup and use?
Review the instructions for your Core and each attachment before installation. Plan the docking station and Data Center locations, operating areas, and no-go zones according to the manufacturer’s guidance. Check any connectivity and Smart Assist Module requirements for the features you want to use, and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance and safety instructions.
